Scenes Of The Occupation from Gaza è un film del 1973 di Mustafa Abu Ali, realizzato con il Palestine Cinema Group, uno dei bracci cinematografici della lotta di liberazione palestinese tra la fine degli anni '60 e l'inizio degli '80. Raramente proiettato per decenni, il film è uno dei venti film della collezione Tokyo Reels, composta a partire dagli anni ‘70, a Tokyo, dai membri di un gruppo solidale con la lotta palestinese. Nell'ambito della proiezione, sarà presentata una pubblicazione che funge non solo da catalogo del film, ma anche da inventario esteso dello stesso.
Un raro film di Mustafa Abu Ali, uno dei fondatori della Palestine Film Unit, il primo braccio cinematografico della rivoluzione palestinese. Girato da un'equipe giornalistica francese, il filmato è stato montato da Mustafa, in Libano, per produrre uno dei primi film sul territorio occupato di Gaza. Il film impiega tecniche di montaggio sperimentali per produrre un film cinematograficamente e politicamente sovversivo. Ha vinto il premio come miglior film al Damascus Film Festival del 1973 ed è stato proiettato in numerosi festival. È stato l'unico film prodotto dal Palestine Cinema Group, che nel 1974 è diventato il Palestine Cinema Institute.

"Scenes of the Occupation from Gaza", is a 1973 film made by Mustafa Abu Ali, and one of the filmic arms of the Palestinian liberation struggle in the late 60's to early 80's, the Palestine Cinema Group. Rarely seen for decades, the film is one of the twenty films of the Tokyo Reels collection, kept and safeguarded by members of a Japanese Palestine solidarity group in Tokyo since the 1970s. As part of the screening, a publication will be presented in the space which acts not only as a film catalogue but as an extended inventory of the film itself.

A rare film by Mustafa Abu Ali, one of the founders of the Palestine Film Unit, the first filmic arm of the Palestinian revolution. Shot by a French news team, the footage was edited by Mustafa in Lebanon to produce one of the earliest films on the occupied territory in Gaza. The film employs experimental editing techniques to produce a cinematically and politically subversive film. It won the prize as best film at the Damascus Film Festival in 1973 and was screened at multiple festivals. It was the only film produced by the Palestine Cinema Group, which in 1974 became the Palestine Cinema Institute.
